THE Blackburn branch of the Salvation Army will on Sunday stage a production of a play which tells the story of the organisation's early days.
'Catherine Booth' explains how Catherine and her husband William launched the Salvation Army in the late 19th century.
The play, being performed at the Salvation Army's Blackburn headquarters on Vicar Street, features plenty of traditional melodies and the chance for the audience to join in the singing.
Entrance is free and the performance begins at 6pm. For further information ring 01254 59110.
