A CYCLIST involved in an accident with a car was seriously ill in hospital today.
David Holmes, aged 48, was injured in Bolton Road, Bury, last night.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident between the cyclist and a Rover car which then crashed into a tree.
Mr Holmes of Moyse Avenue, Tottington, suffered serious injuries including several fractures to his body. He was described by a spokesman as being in a "stable" condition at Bury's Fairfield Hospital this lunchtime.
The driver of the car, Gerald Jacobs, aged 43, of Langley, and a passenger also needed hospital treatment.
