LANCASHIRE are staying tight-lipped about rumours that Cricket secretary Dave Edmundson is leaving the club.
But a big question mark is hanging over the former Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School teacher's future at Old Trafford.
The committee's decision to appoint Mike Watkinson to a new role as cricket manager rather than as a direct successor to Bob Simpson as head coach has cut across Edmundson's job.
He is currently on holiday in Florida but said before he left: "There is an option on the table which would keep me at Old Trafford, but I am waiting for the club to get back to me on it."
Edmundson has also worked as secretary to the Lancashire Cricket Board since joining the club four years ago.
With Simpson gone, as well as club physiotherapist Lawrie Brown, and former skipper John Crawley demanding to be released from his contract, it is turning into one of the busiest off-seasons at Lancashire for years.
