THERE'S a yellow brick road winding its way to Darwen this Christmas as Darwen Library Theatre prepares for its second Christmas show since it reopened in January 2000.
Following the great success of Pinocchio last year, the same team are back with the Wizard of Oz.
The show has become a Christmas tradition and Darwen's production promises to be magical.
There is a professional cast including Jayne Ashley as Dorothy, Lee Phillips as the Tin Man, Dave Drewitt as Scarecrow and Terry Ashe at the Lion.
The show runs from December 12 to Christmas Eve at the theatre in Knott Street. Call the box office on 01254 706006 for tickets.
Jayne will be turning on the Christmas lights in the town on December 1.
