FESTIVE cheer is here and the Christmas spirit is well and truly flowing!
For Wednesday (Nov 21) saw the switch on of the Christmas lights in Kay Gardens, Bury, and at the town's popular Mill Gate shopping centre.
After the Kay Gardens ceremony, a procession, including Santa, the cast of The Met Christmas show Scrooge and Tottington Public Band, made its way into Mill Gate for the second lights switch on.
Two vocalists, including Mother Christmas, entertained shoppers and other attractions included free mince pies and sherry for customers, giveaways and a children's workshop.
Proceeds from this week's event will go to Bury Hospice.
