A BURY-based company which manufactured industrial and works clothing has closed with the loss of 70 jobs.
Bolton Protective Clothing, in Whitelegge Street, has shut after 25 years of trading.
The company has now gone into liquidation and a meeting of creditors is scheduled to take place next month.
London-based chartered accountants and insolvency practitioners Leonard Curtis have been appointed as liquidators.
A spokeswoman for Curtis said the closure of Bolton Protective Clothing reflected the ongoing downturn in the manufacturing industry.
The Bury business made industrial overalls and jackets, and distributed a variety of protective clothing.
No-one from Bolton Protective Clothing was available for comment.
