I DON'T know about you, but I plan to make the most of our game at Chelsea tomorrow because it could be our last taste of football for a while.
This time next week, we could be facing strike action after the PFA served notice of industrial action on Tuesday.
The Union and the Premier League now have eight days to sort things out and I, for one, hope the situation can be resolved before we get to next Saturday.
There's so many different strands to this argument, it's difficult to get a clear understanding of it all.
But my position remains the same as it was two weeks ago when I backed the PFA in their ballot in the first place.
No-one in football really wants a strike -- be it club chairmen or the players themselves -- but the players feel this is an issue on which we simply must make a stand.
I think we all know of someone who the PFA has helped in the game and that's why its important we try and protect their interests and get the fairest deal possible.
I know many of the lads at Blackburn think the same but, contrary to public opinion, it's not something we particularly chat about down at Brockhall on a regular basis.
When it first kicked off, a couple of people from the PFA came down to explain the overall picture but, after registering our votes in the ballot, we've just been concentrating on doing our jobs on the pitch ever since, deciding to leave the rest of it to the experts.
As for tomorrow's trip to Chelsea, I'm really looking forward to going to Stamford Bridge for more reasons than one.
John Terry is a big friend of mine from the Under 21s and let's just say the banter has been flying in the build up to the game!
On a serious note, though, it promises to be a very difficult contest because they are overloaded with quality players.
And I include John when I say that.
For what it's worth, I believe he has the ability to go on to play for England one day because he has the temperament to succeed at the highest level.
Like me, he's still only a young lad but he's already a regular at one of the biggest clubs in the country.
And perhaps even more importantly, he's got experience of playing in Europe under his belt, too.
I really hope he goes on to become one of the best defenders in England because he's a good bloke.
For 90 minutes tomorrow, however, we'll be putting our friendship to one side and I just hope we can record our second away win.
