HOW sad it was to read in your article (Citizen, Nov 8) "beneath the surface Lancaster is very much a pagan city."
It maybe true but there are many Christians in Lancaster and the surrounding district bringing the gospels to everyone. See Market Square on Saturday mornings and the Alpha Courses all over the land telling people what Christianity really is.
Much falls on deaf ears. We are not a Christian country any more. Even our Queen (the head of the Church of England) patronises Islam. She opened their biggest Mosque in London and stayed for the worship.
Note also, the use of Roman Catholic. Here again Catholic means "universal" and my church is a Christian universal church (Catholic) but not Roman. There are many true biblical Christians universal in Ireland and growing but have nothing to do with Rome.
Praise the lord. True Christianity is being taught and many are accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
