ANDY Preece has confirmed that he is keeping tabs on former Gigg favourite Colin Cramb.
The striker was a huge success when he spent three months on loan at Bury from Crewe Alexandra last season, finishing the campaign as the team's leading scorer.
Cramb was on the verge of signing for the Shakers during the close season, but Dutch club Fortuna Sittard jumped in and offered Cramb a financial deal he could not turn down.
However, Preece said he had spoken to Cramb's agent and hinted that there might be a chance of resigning the free-scoring frontman.
"His agent rang me up about another player," explained Preece. "I asked how Cramby was doing and he told me they were bottom at the moment.
"There's no movement on it at this minute of time, but obviously I'll be monitoring it.
"He seems to be okay over there, but if things didn't work out I'm sure he'll be delighted to come back."
