POLICE are appealing for information after £3,000 of jewellery was stolen from a house.
Inspector Graham Ashcroft, of Darwen Police, said a raider removed a pane of glass to enter the house in Sandringham Road, on Wednesday.
The raider made off with a gold ring, encrusted with diamonds and sapphires, worth £2,000; an eternity ring with a heart-shape band surrounded by diamonds, valued at £400; a gold coloured ring with a silver plate, worth £400 and a gold T-bar bracelet worth £200.
Insp Ashcroft said: "The property is very distinctive and I would ask anybody who has seen the jewellery to come forward."
As well as the jewellery the thief, who Insp Ashcroft believed approached the house from a nearby back alley, made off with 100 compact discs, a CD player and £100 cash.
Anybody with any information should contact Darwen CID on 01254 353842.
