DARWEN boss Steve Wilkes has had plenty of time to think about this week's team tactics as they take on Chadderton at the Anchor Ground.
The Post Office worker has gone back on his rounds for this week and, after Chadderton beat them with a last minute goal the other week, he can try and plot their downfall tomorrow.
"We didn't deserve to lose last time," said Wilkes of a Chadderton side who currently occupy seventh place in the NWCL Division Two.
"They scored a last minute goal to make it 3-2 but we had plenty of chances and didn't take them. We need to do that this time.
"It has been frustrating this season as we been inconsistent. It's been win two lose one, lose two win one.
"But saying that we have played all the sides above us and have not yet played anyone in the bottom six.
"I'm not saying we will beat them but I don't think there will be a true reflection of the table until later on in the season."
Wilkes' side certainly don't have any problems scoring - there are only two League matches this season where they haven't found the back of the net, the latest being last Saturday's 3-0 loss at Stand which Wilkes is keen to forget about.
Darwen had two players sent off and didn't enjoy their visit to Ewood Bridge.
But he has a fully fit squad to choose from for tomorrow's clash and he knows it is a big game.
"It is a match we have to win. We have got to start picking up three points regularly if we are going to do something."
Darwen have drawn Conference side Morecambe in the second round of the FA Marsden Trophy.
The Shrimps beat Darwen in the final a few years ago 4-3 on penalties and will be out to try and topple Morecambe this time out.
