A STOCKBROKER and a vet were among those who descended on a Blackburn school for the biggest careers evening it has ever held.
More than 40 jobs were represented at Westholme School and careers officer Denise Pamphlet, who organised the event, said: "We need to represent more careers now because there are so many opportunities for well-qualified youngsters."
The most popular choices included law, medicine, engineering, computing and languages.
Two careers were presented by former pupils -- accountancy by Ruth Fairbrother, a trainee with PM & M of Blackburn, and graphic design by Sarah Clemson, a partner in Manchester company Ninety Degrees.
