ST ANNES

GLASS painting and tile art will be some of the handicrafts at an art and craft fair at St Margaret's Church Community Centre, St Leonard's Road West, on Saturday. Local artists Ann Parkinson and Michael Ward will be among those displaying their creations from 10am to 4pm. There will also be paintings, photographs and other handicrafts. Admission is £1, including light refreshment.

MINCE pies and coffee will be among the festive treats on offer at The Drive Methodist Church's Christmas Fair on Saturday. The fair, at the church on Clifton Drive South, will run from 10am to 12.30pm and entrance is 25p. There will also be cakes, plants, craftwork, Christmas decorations and tombola stalls. And the cafe will serve bacon butties. Everyone welcome.

POULTON

MUSIC fans can enjoy the Poulton-le-Fylde Band at a concert on Saturday in St Chad's Church Hall, Vicarage Road. The band, under the musical direction of Gordon Clough, will play a selection of music including the Haydn Trumpet Concerto. Young musician Michael Davis will also perform. BLACKPOOL

ENJOY a warm and friendly welcome at Blackpool Unitarian Church, on the corner of Lytham Road and Thames Road, on December 1 and 8. There will be a Christmas gift stall and home-made soup and roll for £1.

HAVE your photo taken with Santa at North Shore Methodist Church's Christmas Fayre on November 24. It will include sweets, cakes, glassware, books and pottery stalls and a tombola and raffle. The fayre starts at 10am and will be held at the Claremont First Step Community Centre, Dickson Road. Refreshments, including lunches, will be available. Entrance is free.

VISIT Father Christmas in his grotto at St Paul's Church Christmas Fayre on November 24. There will be various stalls and games, and lunches will be served. The Fayre will be held at the church on Egerton Road, North Shore, from 11am to 2pm.

CALLING all singers! Christians Together is planning a Christmas programme of music, Rumours of Angels, on December 23 at the King's Christian Centre, Warley Road. They are looking for singers of any age to form a choir for the event. For more details call Tom on 345536.

SANTA will be in his grotto from 11am to 1pm at St George's United Reformed Church Christmas Fair on November 24. The fair, at the church in Plymouth Road, will run from 10am to 2pm. There will be plenty of stalls and a cafe serving refreshments.

TALBOT and Brunswick Community Association is holding an open meeting on November 27 at the One Stop Shop on the corner of Cookson Street and Church Street at 2pm. The subject will be pupil truancy. There will be a guest speaker. Refreshments will be served.

BLACKPOOL mayor Sue Wright will attend a special social evening at the Blackpool branch of the Dystoma Group in the CVS centre, Abingdon Street, on November 29 from 7pm. There will be a buffet and wine. For more details call Mrs C MacDonald on 353689.

BISPHAM

IT'S a Winter Wonderland at Bispham Parish Church, All Hallows Road, on November 24. A children's fancy dress competition with a pantomime theme and a visit from Father Christmas will be among the highlights of the event. There will also be stalls, refreshments and hot lunches. The event will be held in the Barn from 11am. Fancy dress judging will be at 1.30pm. Admission is 20p.

A CHRISTMAS fair will be held at Bispham Methodist Church, Beaufort Avenue, on November 24 from 11am to 2pm.

FLEETWOOD

IT will be Hollywood Heaven at the Marine Hall as the Phyllis Davies School of Dancing presents A Trip To The Movies, from November 27 to December 1. Performances start at 7.15pm and there will be a matinee on December 1 at 2.15pm. For tickets and further information call 869528 or 591629.

NORTH SHORE

ALADDIN and His Wonderful Lamp will appear at the Claremont First Step Centre, Dickson Road, from November 29 to December 1 thanks to the North Shore Community Players. The curtain goes up at 7pm and admission is £2 for adults and £1 for children. Some of the centre's Tiny Tots and Little Steps playgroup members will also appear.
