A PSYCHIATRIC patient was questioned by police after a fire at Fairfield General Hospital.
The elderly man, who is resident in the Pennine House secure unit, was arrested in connection with the blaze during the early hours of Saturday (Nov 24).
A bed was set alight while a patient was still in it. He was not harmed.
The wards were evacuated by staff who put out the fire. The fire brigade was called as a precaution.
Detectives interviewed a 66-year-old man but it is understood no further police action is to be taken.
