ELDERLY and disabled people in Pendle were treated to a feast of fun and good food during the first day of this year's Bit of a Do event at Colne Municipal Hall.
International singing star Mitchell Armstrong performed an old-time music revue and was joined by female singer Natalie Cleverley -- both of whom are currently touring theatres with the 'West End Showstoppers'.
Master of ceremonies for the party was comedian Tim Pope who plays Widow Twankey in this year's Aladdin Christmas panto at the Municipal Hall.
Children from Lord Street School, in Colne, also entertained guests at the event, which will run from 11.30am to 4pm each day until Friday.
The Mayor's Bit of a Do is an annual event which raises money for the Mayoress' designated charity, the Special Baby Care Unit at Burnley General Hospital.
Mayor of Pendle Coun Colin Waite said: "This is a much appreciated annual event among the elderly and disabled of the borough, catering for up to 150 people a day.
"It is subsidised by the council, which means that guests not only get a good festive meal but entertainment as well for a reasonable £5 per ticket. We hope that many of the elderly and disabled of the borough join us for a feast of fun and good food."
Each day of this week the event caters for people from particular areas of Colne.
