BLACKBURN brewers Daniel Thwaites helped celebrate their new link-up with Oswaldtwistle Conservative Club by backing a charity concert.
The show, in memory of the club's late president Ian Hargreaves was in aid of the Macmillan Nurses. Club treasurer Peter Goodall explained: "We wanted to do something special for Ian. He was a member here all his adult life, joining the club on his 18th birthday and he is missed by everyone."
The entertainment was provided by vocal harmony group Smart Move and comedian Trevor Wallace.
"It was a great night and it was a nice way to mark our link up with our friends from Thwaites," said club steward Andy Nuttall. The event also was also special because Thwaites have just taken over the supply of the club on Rhyddings Street.
"We're delighted to be able to sponsor such a special evening," said Thwaites' district sales manager Frank Morley. "We are looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the club."
