A DRUG Awareness Day is to be held in Darwen on Saturday.
Darwen Central and Sudell Community Association have joined forces with Twin Valley Homes to put on the event at Darwen Community Centre.
The day is aimed at people who have problems or know someone who is experiencing problems with drug abuse.
Agencies who have experience in dealing with drug issues such as the Life Education Bus, the police Drug Action Team and the HIV team have been invited, along with ward councillors and Rossendale and Darwen MP Janet Anderson.
The event, called Communities Against Drugs is to be centred around a poster campaign aimed at teenagers in the community.
The Darwen Against Drugs poster competition will be open to youngsters who go to youth centres in Darwen and also to schools.
For more information on the event, which is taking place between 10am and 2pm contact Darwen Community Centre on 703492.
