REGARDING gays being allowed to adopt children (LET, November 19), to me it is disgusting and irresponsible of Lancashire County Council to even consider adoption by gay couples of either sex.
Yes, children need love, but they also need the right environment and guidance in which to grow up.
Are they trying to convince me that two women or two men living together and making love is the right atmosphere? Are children to be brought up to believe that this is a right way to live?
Or is it a case of any home will do to get them out of care?
I don't think this is putting the children's welfare first at all. So, please, think again, Lancashire County Council.
If that is the way gays want to live, that's their affair, but leave children out of it.
GLADYS ROBINSON (Mrs), Edge End, Great Harwood.
