MANCHESTER City boss Kevin Keegan believes Rovers' slick passing style will suit his Blues' down to the ground tonight as he looks to take another step on the road to Cardiff.
City have a reputation themselves for playing quick attacking football and Ewood provides them with the perfect arena to show they are back on course for a place in the Premiership.
"I want us to go there and play against them because I think we are suited to Premiership-style football," said Keegan.
"That's because we can play. We get the ball on the floor and we try and play.
"We give it and move and pass it out from the back and that's what you have to do in the Premiership.
"It should be an interesting game and Graeme Souness has done a great job there.
"He's got some good players and he's probably got three of the best young players in the country in Jansen, Duff and Dunn, and I think they will play football against us."
City have been hit by injuries and strikers Shaun Goater, Paul Dickov and Paulo Wanchope are still out.
Steve Howey is sidelined with a foot injury, but Danny Tiatto could return from a groin injury and Paul Ritchie is back following groin trouble.
Keegan did, however, confirm that he will partner former Ewood favourite Eyal Berkovic with Algerian international Ali Benarbia in midfield.
"I will certainly play Benarbia and Berkovic," he said.
"The three times they have played together from the start have probably been our three best performances of the season."
