A TALKING newspaper which serves Pendle and District is appealing for new volunteers.
Pendle Voice needs three people to help handle incoming mail on Monday morning and on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
One person is also needed to become the cassette copying officer -- not to copy all the cassettes but to ensure that the week's programme runs smoothly.
No expertise is needed for any roles, just common sense and an ability to offer a couple of hours work each week.
The annual general meeting of the talking newspaper will be held at the Social Centre for the Blind at Derby Street, Colne, on December 11.
Listeners, helpers, supporters and anyone interesting in the work of the talking newspaper are invited to attend at 7.30pm.
Reports of existing committee members will be heard and there will be an election of officers for the next year before a public forum when people can discuss any aspect of the newspaper's work.
Anyone who can volunteer to help the group out can contact Douglas Barber on 01282 697071 or Alan Sadler on 01282 613787.
