A DRUG Awareness Day in Darwen scheduled for Saturday has been postponed until the new year.
Darwen Central and Sudell Community Associations had joined forces with Twin Valley Homes to put on the event at Darwen Community Centre -- but due to staff illness the event has had to be postponed.
The day, which was to encourage people addicted to drugs to come along for advice and information, will be held sometime in the new year.
Agencies who have experience in dealing with drug issues such as the Life Education Bus, the police Drug Action Team and the HIV team, are to be invited, along with ward councillors and Rossendale and Darwen MP Janet Anderson.
For more information on the forthcoming event contact Darwen Community Centre on 703492.
