ELDERLY people who need help with their Christmas shopping are invited to pop into Asda in Rawtenstall next Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm.
Last year the event was extremely popular and more than ten residential homes and care homes took advantage of the extra help that was available.
This evening has been made possible thanks to volunteers from Scout groups, local schools, colleagues offering their services and a ShopMobility scheme which provides additional wheelchairs.
It is hoped a choir from a local school will also join in the event and the Mayor and Mayoress of Rossendale, Coun Jimmy Grogan and his wife Lois, will attend.
