BLACKBURN Arts Club is busy rehearsing Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest that will take place at the Club Theatre, Gibraltar Street, from December 11 to 15 at 7.30pm.
Wilde's famous piece is a comedy of assumed identity involving Jack Worthing, otherwise known as Ernest.
He was found as baby in a handbag on Worthing station -- a situation which prompted Dame Edith Evans' famous outburst "A Handbag".
Tickets are £4.50, with concessions £3.50 on Tuesday and Wednesday only.
They can be obtained by telephoning 01254 52024 or 01254 52910 during show week after 7pm.
