BURY Deaf Society and Bury Deaf Children's Society had a grand re-opening of its Tenterden Street premises on Saturday (Nov 24).
Its new look games room, complete with snooker, darts and PlayStations, now has a colourful new mural courtesy of the children, their friends and Mrs Valerie Halliwell, an art tutor at Bury College.
To celebrate the occasion the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Councillor Paul Nesbit and his wife, Shirley, were invited along to share in the buffet and be entertained with carols from members of St Andrew's Church, Radcliffe.
