SANTA's back in town!
And his festive appearance at Bury's popular Mill Gate shopping centre co-incided with an early Christmas party for visitors.
The event allowed shoppers and centre bosses to celebrate the switch on of the Christmas lights.
There were free mince pies and sherry, free giveaways, activities for children and musical entertainment.
Guest of honour was Santa, who is pictured with some of his young fans.
Throughout the event, the proceeds of which will go to Bury Hospice, the busy centre was teaming with shoppers.
Under the twinkling lights, "Mother Christmas" and Danny King sang on a specially-constructed stage.
Also taking part was a town cryer, members of Tottington Public Band and, of course, Father Christmas himself.
The cast of The Met's Christmas show, Scrooge, also attended the switch on event.
Youngsters were kept busy as they took part in a Christmas card colouring activity.
There was also an awards ceremony for schoolchildren of Guardian Angels and St John's primary schools who had earlier entered a Mill Gate-organised Christmas card design competition.
The youngsters, split into two age groups, received gift vouchers and a selection of giveaways.
Bury Mayor, Councillor Paul Nesbit, performed the switch on of the Christmas lights in the town's Kay Gardens and Mill Gate.
