CASTING an eye over the albumn releases.

OCEAN COLOUR SCENE: Songs From The Front Row: (Universal Island) -- To the fans this greatest hits package will mean little as there's only only one new track -- Crazy Lowdown Ways. The only saving grace for me are two live tracks, Robin Hood and Get Away recorded in 1997 at the Royal Albert Hall. Neither are among their greatest moments but both remind me of a great night out and let's face it OCS are all about retro moments. If you haven't got any opf their albums, then it's worth getting hold of.CL (7/10)

THE MILK AND HONEY BAND: Boy From The Moon, (Uglyman) -- Had this album been put out on Badly Drawn Boy's Twisted Nerve Label then the group would have been heralded in much the same way as Alfie were. Instead it's from the more consistent yet less fashionable Uglyman label, leaving it floundering somewhat in obscurity. If surfs between the Beach Boys and a laid back West Coast style so gentle that even the feedback sounds fragile. This is the taste of true genius but it's only for the select few who seek it out.
