IT was just the "biz" when more than 60 captains of industry attended an influential seminar in Bury.
The marketing roadshow rolled into town and gave delegates a gilt-edged insight into how they could afford to market their businesses without wasting precious budgets.
The Biz Vision seminar was staged by thriving Hollins-based DTE which offers a whole host of business support services to clients.
At the event, businessmen and women were able to view a new BBC-produced video, entitled Spend Less Sell More.
The presentation highlighted around 50 practical marketing ideas and tips. Topics embraced included marketing on the Internet, PR, effective advertising and direct mail.
The roadshow came to Bury following research which disclosed that only one in four owners and directors of small and medium-sized businesses get a full night's sleep.
The others worry about a host of problems including gaining and keeping new customers, and being able to afford to market their business.
"We're delighted that we managed to exclusively secure one of the select number of UK dates for this show," said Richard Taylor, of DTE.
The successful seminar was presented by Malcolm Gallagher, who is also the writer and presenter of the BBC-produced Biz Vision programmes.
A number of video clips were played, featuring companies filmed by BBC crews during the production of the Biz Vision series.
