WHEN Dannii Minogue recorded her latest single she made a wish that it would turn into her biggest hit ever and her prayers have been answered.
This week her collaboration with dance act Riva -- Who Do You Love Now? has crashed into the charts at No 3.
The track originally started out life as an instrumental called Stringer which became a big club hit during the summer.
Minogue was approached to supply the vocals by DJ Pete Tong with the aim of transforming the dance floor filler into a big crossover hit - and it's paid off.
The 30-year-old singer says: "I haven't been clubbing all summer because I have been in Notre Dame de Paris so I didn't really know anything about the success of Stringer.
"When I was approached to do the track I had just been getting ready to go on holiday - which I had been trying to take all year.
"I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't do it unless I thought it was good. When they played Stringer to me I thought, Damn there goes the holiday'. "I wished the song would end up getting my best chart placing. But you never know, so when I found out it was No 3 in the midweek chart I started getting really excited."
But she reveals she was nervous at making a pop comeback after three years away from the charts.
She said: "The reaction has been amazing. I can't quite believe it."
