FORMER Clitheroe manager Dave Burgess has been on a scouting mission for the Blues.
Burgess, who stepped down in September after 15 months in charge at Shawbridge, has been to watch the Blues' FA Vase third round opponents Cogenhoe.
New boss Lee Sculpher takes his players to the Northamptonshire side next Saturday and he says it will be a tough test.
"Dave says they are a good side," said Sculpher. "But we will go there confident.
"There will be no talk of going for a draw - you can't play like that - you have to go out and play your normal game."
Before the big FA Vase game, the Blues meet Skelmersdale at home in NWCL Division One tomorrow.
Andy Taylor, who is considering a move to Great Harwood, is out and Adam Gardner will miss the game with a toe injury.
Neil Spencer has a thigh strain and is also suffering with a hernia, although he hopes to see out the rest of the season before it is operated on.
Sculpher was glad to see striker Lee Cryer back in the side - and back on the scoresheet - last week at Congleton, a game in which six goals were scored in the last ten minutes.
"He played for 70 minutes, scored two goals, and there is every chance he will play tomorrow," said Sculpher.
Jason Jones has decided to stay with the Blues despite an offer from Ramsbottom. "At this moment in time he is staying," said Sculpher.
