FOR some years Peter Roscoe was a Liberal Democrat member. We continue to appreciate the investigative work he does to expose sub-standard local politicians.
However, his recent attack on us is wrong in every sentence. Our critical comments of local Labour mistakes in the last two years have received widespread public approval, while comments by Peter's new Tory friends have been ridiculed or ignored.
Many Lib Dem policies are now improving the quality of lives in Scotland and Wales because we share power there with Labour.
Our influence on Blackpool Council is small but growing. I promise Citizen readers we have practical projects to offer the council in the next few months.
We are not an appendage of Labour, they are not our masters, and will not bend our knee to them. As to
Local Lib Dems will continue to speak out for example on the poor management of Blackpool Social Services and the need for a referendum on the Casino proposals.
