A CLITHEROE-BASED firm has been recognised for its positive attitude towards disabled workers.
North West E.Net, based in Church Street, was given the Employment Service's 'Positive about Disabled People' symbol at a special presentation at Clitheroe Jobcentre earlier this week.
E.Net, which was founded in 1995, is now allowed to display the symbol -- a distinctive 'two ticks' -- on its official stationery and recruitment adverts.
E.Net was started to help local community and voluntary organisations across the North West to provide training and employment opportunities for disabled people, and now works with 20 groups.
Eric Simpson, North West E.Net chief officer, said: "I am delighted that we have been awarded the Disability Symbol.
"We are an organisation committed to promoting disability issues at all levels and this award demonstrates our commitment to disabled people."
