PUPILS played a big part in the success of the annual Christmas fair at Kelbrook Primary School.
One did nail painting, another face painting while another youngster organised a Harry Potter quiz. Others had a stall selling cross stitch Christmas cards they had made themselves.
There was also a book fair. Members of the youth club also had a stall, selling cakes and sweets.
Money raised will go towards the £39,000 the school needs for an after-school club and eventually a nursery.
Head teacher Wendy Harvey, said: "There is a tremendous need for those facilities in this area and one can only presume that the need will be greater because of the redundancies at Rolls Royce and Westons, which means that people will have to move further away to find work."
