PENSIONERS in Darwen are looking forward to a pensioners' party being held on Thursday at Darwen Moorland High School on Holden Fold.
Attractions will include a meal, bingo, dancing and carols.
Deputy Head at the school Judith Berry said the party was an annual event and a way for the school to involve itself with the local community.
To raise funds for the event pupils took part in a non-uniform day last Friday.
Mrs Berry said: "This year, for the first time, we decided we would do something different to raise funds and so decided to go for a non uniform day."
Around 200 invited senior citizens are expected to attend the party and Year 11 pupils will be serving food and singing carols.
