FLYING glass from a smashed window caused minor cuts to a security guard's face after he was chased by three intruders.
The incident happened at Amtrack Express Parcels warehouse, The Fold, Rawtenstall, shortly after 7pm on Saturday.
The crooks broke in through a fire exit door. After confronting them the security officer was chased into an office.
As he was trying to telephone the police an office window was smashed and small shards of glass caused small cuts to his face. He was not seriously injured.
The burglars then made off and nothing was stolen.
The three were all wearing dark clothing. One of them is described as 5ft 8ins tall, slim, in his mid to late teens. He was wearing a bobble hat.
Further police inquiries are being made into the incident.
