PARENTS, staff and governors of Higher Lane Junior and Infant Schools have some two months to respond to the decision to merge the two.
Official notification of the proposed amalgamation was issued last week and replies should be made to Mr Paul Cooke, head of buildings and administration, at Bury LEA.
As reported previously, the Whitefield Junior School will close on April 7 and the new Higher Lane Primary School will open the following day.
Proposed alterations to the Infant School, in Egerton Road, will involve enlarging the premises and extending the upper age limit.
