KARAOKE fans are invited to exercise their vocal chords in aid of Clitheroe schoolgirl Tina Stevenson, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
The White Lion, Clitheroe, is holding a 'charaoke' on Thursday from 8.30pm to raise funds for the nine-year-old, of Edisford County Primary School, to purchase an electric wheelchair.
Tina's parents, Paul and Dawn Stevenson, of Henthorn Avenue, Clitheroe, hope to raise the £2,500 needed for the wheelchair by Christmas.
Regulars at the Market Place pub, and anyone else who would like to join in, will pay £1 for a raffle ticket to sing their first song of the night and this will enable them to win prizes including a micro CD player, 18lb turkey, £100 holiday voucher or a cuddly toy. Subsequent songs are free. And as an added incentive, landlady Andrea Flynn will be putting on cheap promotional drinks throughout the night.
More details are available from the White Lion on 01200 426955.
Anyone wishing to give to the appeal or with other fund-raising ideas should call Paul Stevenson on 01200 442495.
