THE Jack Daniels crew at Moist Cafe bar had a busy night when party-goers were treated to free tasting of the original Tennessee Whiskey.

The night culminated with one lucky drinker winning an official Jack Daniels leather jacket not available through any of the high street retailers.

David Conroy, of Ewood, who walked away with the prize, said: "I was chuffed to bits to win the Jack Daniels Leather Jacket. It's smart and of course very exclusive.

"I'm not a big fan of whiskey in general but Jack D has a very distinct taste all of its own."

Bernard Coupe, marketing manager, said: "The night went really well, and given our current backing from major brands we were over the moon to have the Jack Daniels crew down in the bar on what turned out to be one of our busiest nights so far this year."

The event followed on from the celebrations during the summer to celebrate the birthday of the founder, Jack Daniels himself, back in 1866. The brand originates from Lynchburg, which is the seat of Moore County, Tennessee's smallest county.

Even though Moore County has been home to the Jack Daniel Distillery since before Jack received his licence to distil, it has been 'dry' since Prohibition.
