ROVERS Youth coach Rob Kelly today hailed last night's 4-0 win over Chelsea as one of the best performances he has ever seen from his Brockhall youngsters.
Rampant Rovers marched into the fourth round of the AXA FA Youth Cup after a four-star show against the shell-shocked Blues.
"That's definitely one of the best performances I've seen from our lads since I've been here," said Kelly.
"Sometimes young players can get a bit of stage fright on a night like that but our boys didn't suffer from that and that allowed them to express themselves.
"In the past, we've tended to produce our best performances away from Ewood because the players tend to perceive there's less pressure.
"But last night I thought we were excellent, both individually and collectively, and we never allowed Chelsea to play to anything like we know they are capable of because they're a good side at this level."
