AWARD winning student DJ Duncan Whittaker is to return to his old school for a live show.
Duncan who won a prize at the recent Radio 1 awards for his university road show, is going back to Ivy bank High School, Burnley, to perform his show for the pupils.
Duncan will team up with the school radio presenters on Friday, December 14, before setting off for two weeks work experience with Mary Anne Hobbs on the Radio 1 Rock Show and with Pete Tong on radio 1's Essential selection Show.
Michael Watson, development officer at Ivy Bank said: "I rang Duncan and asked if he would present some shows with the school's IBFM radio presenting team and he said he would be delighted.
"Duncan thought it was brilliant that the school had its own internal station and hopes to give the presenters some help and ideas for their shows."
Duncan hopes to 'guest' on the school's station whenever he is home from Loughborough University, where he is in the fourth year of an undergraduate masters degree in computer sciences.
