BLACKBURN Rotary Club have been busy this month. First the group had to pull out all the stops to find a new meeting place after their regular venue, the County Hotel on Preston New Road, closed.
After a long search the Petre Arms on Longsight Road in Langho has become the new home for the Club.
Dr Ian Ramage, its President, said: "We are delighted with this new venue as the management and staff have made us very welcome with catering to an excellent standard."
Then the group changed venues for the night to celebrate their 80th Charter Celebration. Over 60 rotarians and their guests joined in the fun at the New Drop Inn, Higher Road, Ribchester.
During the evening rotarian Fred Milligan was given the groups highest honour -- the Paul Harris Fellowship award, which recognises all his hard work for the rotary club and other charities.
