AN OFFENDER wanted on warrant for almost a year has been sent to prison for a total of 16 weeks.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Michael Harry Noone, 22, knew the court had no option but to send him to jail after getting behind the wheel for the fourth time while banned.
Noone, of Moorland Road, Burnley, admitted driving while disqualified, possessing cannabis, failing to surrender and making off without payment.
He was also in breach of four community punishment and rehabilitation orders.
The bench revoked the orders and also banned the defendant for a year. They made no orders for costs or compensation.
Mark Williams, defending, said Noone's record was not the worst the court had seen but it was not something he could take pride in.
He had put himself in the position he was in and accepted he would be going into custody.
