SUSPECTED burglars are to receive a special Christmas message from Lancashire police this month.
The constabulary's Christmas card -- with the message 'targeting domestic burglary'-- will be sent to people identified as possible criminals.
The card is part of Operation Reassure, the police clampdown on domestic burglary, which has led to 196 arrests for domestic burglaries, with 85 suspects being charged, in addition more than 90 arrests were made for other burglaries with 41 suspects being charged.
Det Chf Supt Adrian McAllister, who is leading the operation, said: "We are sending a special Christmas message to all those people we suspect of committing domestic burglary in Lancashire. We are putting extra effort into targeting burglary and as a result those arrested as burglary suspects will have little to celebrate over the holiday period."
