MEMBERS of Burnley Youth Theatre are planning a giant treat for audiences later this month.
The Selfish Giant and Other Stories will be staged at Burnley Mechanics on Sunday, December 16 (2pm and 7.30pm) and Monday, December 17, at 7.30pm.
The tales were written by Oscar Wilde for his own children but will charm adults and children alike.
Audiences will discover how, every afternoon, children would play in the selfish giant's garden until one day he built a huge wall around it. Another Oscar Wilde tale, The Young King, will also be performed.
Tickets are £5 (£4 concessions) with all seats £3 for the Sunday matinee. Contact the ticket office between 10am and 5.15pm, Monday to Friday, on 01282 664400.
