YOUNGSTERS at an Affetside school were certainly put in the picture when a former pupil visited.
Children's TV presenter Lizzie Botham took a break from filming to go back to Affetside primary school in Watling Street where she used to attend.
The roving art expert on CBBC's SmART programme, dropped into the school to boost the painting prowess of the pupils.
Some of the children had contributed pictures to the show's gallery slot, which is aired on the programme each week.
Headteacher Sue Porter said: "The children were very excited when they saw her. She spent time with them and they chatted about art.
"We're grateful she could pop in," she added.
Mrs Porter taught Lizzie and said she always had an interest in art, drama and music.
