THE wonder of Harry Potter could be about to cast its magic spell on Bury's East Lancashire Railway.
The steam train attraction is to be included in a major new campaign to promote Britain overseas.
The Harry Potter worldwide phenomena has prompted the British Tourist Authority to produce its own website map called Harry Potter: Discovering the Magic of Britain.
Jill Youlton, Bury's tourism marketing officer, said: "Visitors can discover not only locations from the film, but also the magical and mythical heritage of Britain.
"Because it is a steam railway, and therefore an obvious connection to the film, the ELR has been included.
"In fact, the railway is the only attraction in Greater Manchester to be included in the guide."
For visitors to the region, especially those with young children, it will hopefully turn out to be something that they just won't want to miss."

THE ELR runs regular weekend services from Bury to Rossendale and, at this time of year, seasonal Santa Specials.
The trip offers the chance to stop off at Ramsbottom and enjoy the period fun of the Dickensian street markets, which will run every Sunday until Christmas.
