HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a traditional Christmas fair at the weekend in its usual spot on the Flag Market.
The annual event -- now in its fourth year -- attracted crowds from far and near on Saturday, December 1, and offered Christmas shoppers festive bargains galore.
Shoppers browsed around a range of stalls featuring a variety of goods, such as handmade arts and crafts, children's toys, cards, jewellery, stoneware, aromatherapy oils, knitwear and embroidery.
Others sold ceramics, dried and silk flowers, handmade sweets, wooden clocks and dough craft gifts.
A special feature was the range of Preston memorabilia from the Harris Museum and Art Gallery Shop and from the Preston Tourist Information Centre -- available all year round from the town centre visitor centres.
The free event was organised by Preston Borough Council and featured seasonal music from schoolchildren in aid of Derian House Children's Hospice.
Preston's Mayor, Councillor Alan Hackett, also popped along on the day to check out the gift ideas on offer for mayoress and wife Maureen.
Cllr Veronica Afrin, Portfolio Holder, Regeneration, Community & Leisure Services, Preston Borough Council said, "Preston Borough Council are delighted to organise the fourth Christmas Craft Fair which showcases unique and traditional crafts and provides an ideal festive family day out".
