FOR the second successive week all Tyldesley RU teams enjoyed the sweet taste of victory with the first and second teams really calling the shots.
Tyldesley firsts had the points in the bag before kick-off when opponents Cockermouth arrived with only 12 men and therefore were unable to compete in a league match.
However Tyldesley reshuffled things and allowed a trio of their own players to make up the numbers so that a game could take place.
In the end the 29-0 win for Tyldesley was deserved but came at a cost with second row Lee West breaking his leg.
Points on the day came from Mark Swanton (2), Gary Corbett and Eddie Wallbank got the tries with Mark Dickinson converting two.
Tyldesley Knights made the short trip to Sedgley Park looking to build on their number two spot in the second team league.
However on arrival at Sedgley they discovered that the home team only had 11 men. Again Tyldesley reshuffled and lent players so a game could kick off. The final result of 31-3 to Tyldesley was just about right with Dave Sivill leading the way with a hat-trick and Ian Worsfold and Fraser Mackintosh bagging the other tries.
Tyldesley Dragons blew visitors Warrington away with a eight try haul in a 51-5 victory. Stand-off Sean Tyrer went over for four tries with Bill Elliott, Simon Mullineux, Andy Hellam and Howard Hughes all getting a try a piece. Skipper Peter Mannion landed four goals and a penalty.
Tyldesley Colts visited neighbours Bolton with their strongest squad of the season available, it showed as Tyldesley racked up the tries in a 45-5 win.
Winger Stuart Young grabbed a hat-trick and other tries came from Ashley Worsfold (2), Mark Bennett and James Eckersley. Outstanding on the day where forwards Peter Hayes and Andrew Oakden.
