SOUTH Ribble MP David Borrow has made it his New Year resolution to get hunting with dogs banned.
His push for tough legislation has already been approved by Campaigning to Protect Hunted Animal (CPHA), which is made up of the RSPCA, the League Against Cruel Sports and the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
John Rolls of the CPHA: "It would certainly be a great New Year for thousands of animals if hunting with dogs is banned.
"We are extremely grateful for the support of all the MPs who are determined to end this cruelty once and for all."
Mr Borrow added: "The vast majority of local people and the British public in general want a ban and it is my New Year resolution to see that legislation under way in the next year."
