FOOTBALL is supposed to be an entertainment and Jonathan "Robbie the Bobby" Pollard was a breath of fresh air at Bury FC. He does his job for nothing, has attended charity events at short notice and I regard him as a great success.
The worst he did was knock off another mascot's head off and possibly mooning at Stoke fans. In both cases he was right to do what he did. The Cardiff mascot attacked him first and he just finished it. And with him being seven feet tall in his suit, which is also very heavy, he found it difficult to bend down to tie his shoelaces in front of the Stoke supporters!
Everybody, the police, football's law-makers and football supporters themselves, need to calm down and understand that "Robbie" was just trying to entertain people, especially the children, who love him.
