A BIG stride for charity was taken by staff from Learoyd Packaging, Burnley, when they tackled one of England's most notorious peaks, Striding Edge, over Helvellyn earlier this year.
The event raised £450 for Burnley and Pendle Hospice.
The cheque was presented by Steve Cowie, chief executive of Learoyd Packaging, based at the Heasandford industrial estate.
It was received by hospice fund-raising manager Kaye Bartle who thanked the team, headed by Michael McNally.
She said: "The team at Learoyd has done marvellously by raising money for the hospice in this way.
"Striding Edge is not for the faint-hearted and I admire the determination of everyone involved in tackling this trek."
The hospice at Reedley has to raise more than £800,000 this year to care for local people suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
